romania had 2 entries in the festival. one movie called “california dreamin” by director Cristian Nemescu won the first prize of the “un certain regard” section (details here: http://www.festival-cannes.com/index.php/en/article/55652) , and the other one, called “4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days” by Cristian Mungiu won the… Palm D’Or. the, one and only, Palm D’Or.
